Police officer bitten; woman charged

A brief Tuesday in the City & State section about a Chapel Hill police officer being bitten named the wrong person as the one charged with the assault. Partia Marie Allen, 21, of Durham, was charged with assault on a government official, malicious conduct by a prisoner and drunk and disruptive behavior at Spice Street restaurant early Sunday morning.


CHAPEL HILL -- A woman bit a police officer after a large fight broke out at Spice Street in University Mall over the weekend, according to Chapel Hill police.

About 500 people were at the restaurant, which turns into a nightclub, when a fight broke out, Capt. Jackie Carden said.

Police were called at 12:30 a.m. Sunday. As they tried to contain the fighting, Officer Jim Orbich was bitten. Jessica Lynn Foust, 20, of 201 Howell St., Chapel Hill, was charged with assault on a government official, police said.
