From Staff ReportsNovember 15, 2007

— This holiday season marks 27 years since the inception of N.C. Children's Hospital's Holiday Card Project, now known as Kids Cards.

Kids Cards raises money for the N.C. Children's Hospital through the sale of greeting cards and small gifts created by patients and staff.

Kids Cards also offers a line of "Baby Prints" cards designed by Karen Thaxton, a nurse in neonatal intensive care who uses hand and foot prints from the tiniest patients to create her designs.

Kids Cards come in boxes of 10 cards and retail for $7 per box. They are available online at www.kidscards.org and at several retailers. These include 24 Triangle-area Harris Teeter stores, the Chapel Hill Wine Co., Studio 91 Fine Art Gallery, and Parker and Otis Gourmet Food Store. Kids Cards are also available for purchase at (919) 401-5452 or (800) 842-6004 and Kids Cards, P.O. Box 3461, Chapel Hill, NC 27515.
