Man who robbed pedestrian is sought

— Police are searching for a man who robbed a pedestrian in North Raleigh and sped away in a sport utility vehicle.

The robbery occurred at 12:05 p.m. Thursday in the 2800 block of Millbrook Road, according to the Raleigh Emergency Communications Center. No one was injured.

A 911 dispatcher said the victim was approached by a black man wearing a black hooded jacket, with his face covered by a gray handkerchief. Other details about the robber, such as hair style, height and weight, were not provided.

The robber indicated that he had a handgun and demanded money. He fled with an undisclosed amount of cash in a black SUV with tinted front windows. The vehicle was last seen traveling north on Green Street near Spring Forest Road, authorities reported.
