Robbers hit businesses in Durham

From Staff ReportsJanuary 26, 2008

— Police are asking for information about several business robberies over five nights this week.

CrimeStoppers is offering a reward for information leading to arrests in the cases. Investigators are trying to determine whether any of these robberies have been committed by the same people.

The robberies occurred between Sunday and Thursday nights at fast-food restaurants, gas stations -- even a hair salon on Martin Luther King Boulevard.

The suspects have been described generally as male, tall, thin and casually dressed. They often wore sweatshirts with hoods and, in at least one case, pajama bottoms.

Officers are asking residents to examine details of the holdups and descriptions of the suspects in hopes of catching the robbers.
