Training academy to hold graduation

April 8, 2008

— Twenty students will graduate this morning from the Wake County Sheriff's Office Basic Law Enforcement Training Academy to be sworn in as new deputies, according to a news release from the Sheriff's Office.

The graduation ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. at the Mount Moriah Baptist Church, 3000 E. Garner Road, in Raleigh.

This will be the third academy class to graduate since Wake County Sheriff Donnie Harrison took office, the release said, and is the 18th class to take the course for the basic law enforcement certificate.
