Reward offered for info on killing

From Staff ReportsApril 18, 2008

— WilcoHess is offering a $25,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest and conviction in last week's killing of one of its employees, Stephanie Powell Anderson.

Steve Williams, president of WilcoHess, said in a news release Thursday: "The entire WilcoHess family is mourning the loss of Stephanie Anderson, and our thoughts and prayers are with her family. We hope anyone with information that could help the police investigation ... will come forward."

Anderson's slaying began as a robbery attempt at the convenience store at 1741 Trawick Road in East Raleigh, police said. Police think one person committed the crime.

Anyone with information that might assist the investigation is asked to call the Raleigh Police Department's Detective Division at 890-3555 or CrimeStoppers at 226-2746.

Police are interested in talking to anyone who was near the store between 4:30 a.m. and 5:15 a.m. April 10 and who saw individuals, vehicles or suspicious activity.
