Test seminar for parents held today

— Wake County parents can learn about interpreting test scores and promotion requirements at a free seminar today.

The seminar will include information on various tests, from local kindergarten assessments to the state exams in reading, writing, math and computer skills. Promotion requirements will also be discussed.

Donna Hargens, the Wake school system's chief academic officer, will be the featured speaker.

The seminar will be from 10 a.m. to noon at the Wake County Commons Building, 4011 Carya Drive, Raleigh. It is sponsored by the Coalition of Concerned Citizens for African-American Children.
