Sharing a meal along U.S. 15-501 in Durham, Duke Divinity School student Laura Levens, left, and Isaac Villegas, right, pastor of the Chapel Hill Mennonite Fellowship, chat with Preston Brooks and Jody Thompson, homeless men who live in tents near Chapel Hill. Levens and Villegas volunteer with the Open Table Ministry, which provides weekly home-cooked meals to the homeless. 'We pretty much do what any family does when they gather for a meal,' said Levens. 'We check in, we share, and we provide for each other's needs.'
