Stolen goods found; suspect is charged

— A Durham man has been charged with multiple car and residential break-ins in the area of Telluride Trail.

Chapel Hill police charged Johnny Wilber Lee Gray, 38, with nine counts of breaking and entering a vehicle, two counts of first-degree burglary, three counts of financial card theft, three counts of possession of stolen goods, and several other charges.

Gray is alleged to have committed the crimes early Tuesday. Officers responding to reported vehicle break-ins spotted Gray, who fit the description given by a witness, in a vehicle on Sweeten Creek Road. Several stolen items were found in his possession.
