Police question two in shooting death

From Staff ReportsDecember 10, 2008

— Investigators are questioning two people in connection with a Sunday homicide.

Edwin Aguero, 41, was found shot on the sidewalk in front of the Laundry King Laundromat, located inside the Wellon's Village Shopping Center at the intersection of Holloway Street and Miami Boulevard, early Sunday morning. Police think Aguero, who was not a Laundry King employee, was killed during a robbery.

Police have released two videos of the suspects entering and leaving the business. The first shows two men entering the Laundromat with their faces covered. The second shows the two men hurriedly exiting the business as Aguero's body lay motionless outside.

Detectives came across the two people at a North Hyde Park Avenue home late Tuesday morning. Both persons are currently not considered suspects and have not been charged with anything as of Tuesday afternoon, police said.

No arrests have been made in the killing.
