Not so good

April 14, 2009

After waiting for the bus for an hour on Friday morning, it dawned on me that it was the Christian holiday of Good Friday and that maybe the bus was never going to come. The holiday schedule printed in The N&O confirmed that, although all other buses in Wake, Durham and Orange counties were running, the Triangle Transit Authority was not. The TTA is apparently celebrating the temporary death of a mythic figure over 2,000 years ago by making it difficult for low-income and/or environmentally conscious people to get to work.
