GOING BATTY: The Gwinnett Braves batted around against Durham starter Mitch Talbot and scored four runs in the second inning en route to a victory over the Bulls on Monday night at Lawrenceville, Ga.

Four Gwinnett pitchers held the Bulls to six hits and two runs. Braves starter Kris Medlin (2-0) gave up five hits and two runs in five innings with no walks and six strikeouts

PLAYER MOVES: The Bulls made two roster moves on Monday. Durham catcher Alex Jamieson was assigned to Class A Hudson Valley. Jamieson had played in two games with the Bulls, going 1-for-8 at the plate. Catcher Craig Albernaz was promoted from Double-A Montgomery to the Bulls. Albernaz had played in four games for the Biscuits, going 1-for-13.
