Reminder: no coupons today

Because of the Memorial Day holiday, there are no coupon inserts in today's newspaper.

The coupons will be back next weekend.

Mambo Sprouts posts coupons online, too

For those of you who like coupons for organic and natural items, you probably know the Mambo Sprouts coupons that are included in the Whole Foods Whole Deal booklet.

Well some of them are now available online! (I had no idea!)

You can find them here: http://coupons.mambo sprouts.com/online_coupons

Coupon class is open to all

As of right now, registration for my coupon class on June 6 is now open to anyone who wishes to attend.

In the past, these have been events for subscribers only, so jump on the chance to attend while you can if you are not a home subscriber! Advanced registration is required, and there is a fee of $15.

However, I will remind you that there are really three separate sessions during the half-day event.

We will cover using coupons to save on your grocery bill, using rebates and household budgeting.

Come join the fun! Sign up by following the link under "Announcements" at takingstock.newsobserver.com

World Market store to close

The World Market store on North Pointe Drive in Durham is in its final weeks. The company will close it in the next eight to 12 weeks.

However, the other Durham store near The Streets at Southpoint, plus the ones in Raleigh and in Cary, will remain open.

Save on filter products

I heard this week from Gary over at an Apex company called FridgeFilters.com.

Gary's company sells filters for refrigerators (as the name implies) and other filters and filtration-related products.

Right now, in conjunction with the SavvyDollar Web site, the code savvydollar will get you 10 percent off.

There's also free shipping on orders over $75.

Save on dry cleaning

The Triangle Dry Cleaners chain has been offering special deals on Wednesdays this month.

On May 27, it's 30 percent off any alteration. No coupon is required.

Discounts will be taken off your ticket at the store.

There are three Triangle locations.

Free Quiznos

Quiznos will give you a free Sammie sandwich for signing up for its QClub e-mail club.

If you do sign up, you will get periodic e-mails with links for special coupons (As I repeatedly suggest: Create a separate e-mail account to sign up for such offers, so your main inbox isn't flooded).

And if you designate a local store as "yours" when you sign up, you will get a free cookie on your birthday, too. Visit www.quiznos.com/subsandwiches/Offers/OffersLanding.aspx.
