Teenager killed in shooting

— Raleigh police are investigating a shooting that left a teenager dead.

Shortly before midnight on Monday, Raleigh police were on a foot patrol and heard gunfire.

At 500 Haywood St., they found Rodriquez D’Shay Burrell, 18, who had been shot multiple times. Burrell was transported to WakeMed, where he died a short time later, according to a news release.

Anyone with information that might help detectives is asked to call 919-996-3555 or CrimeStoppers at (919) 226-CRIME. Callers to CrimeStoppers may remain anonymous and the organization pays cash rewards for tips that help to solve cases.
