Fancy Grilling for Dad

Angus Barn's chef Walter Royal will teach a grilling class on Father's Day, June 21. If this is the perfect gift for your dad, it will cost you $100. Reservations can be made by calling 787-3505.

Other options include two upcoming classes at A Southern Season in Chapel Hill.

"Guys on the Grill: Grilling with Beer," 2 p.m. June 14. Instructor Brian Adornetto will teach how to make grilled shrimp with "beer-b-que" sauce, grilled zucchini with "s-ale-sa" and vanilla-stout milkshakes. The class costs $50.

"Father's Day Grilling Bash," 2 p.m. June 21. Cookbook author Fred Thompson will teach how to fix barbecue Bloody Marys, East Tennessee's famous pig burger and his finest baby back ribs. That class also costs $50.

Karma for the Inter-Faith Food Shuttle

North Raleigh's Moving Mantra Yoga Studio is hosting a karma yoga day to benefit the Inter-Faith Food Shuttle, a nonprofit that provides food for people at risk of hunger in seven counties across the Triangle. The event is 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the studio at 200 Sawmill Road, No. 102, Raleigh.

It includes an 8 a.m. yoga class for a $10 donation, $1-a-minute chair massages, $5 paraffin hand waxes, $10 haircuts, a raffle and much more. For more information, call the Inter-Faith Food Shuttle at 250-0043.
