Durham police investigate homicide

— Durham police say they are investigating the homicide of a woman that occurred about 5 p.m. today in the 400 block of Newsom Street.

Police did not release any details, including the woman's name or how she was killed, but they did indicate that they did not consider the crime a random act. No one has been arrested.

Police ask anyone with information about the incident to call Investigator Gill at 560-4440, ext. 29322, or CrimeStoppers at 683-1200.
