Name the food blog

June 24, 2009

We're starting a food blog on newsobserver.com to become the Triangle's go-to source on where to dine, where to shop, what to eat and what to cook.

We're looking for more suggestions on what to name our blog. We have a stack of cookbooks to give to the person who makes the winning suggestion. We're hoping these titles will get your creative juices flowing: "Secrets of the Red Lantern: Stories and Vietnamese Recipes from the Heart," by Pauline Nguyen; "A Platter of Figs and Other Recipes," by David Tanis; and "Bottega Favorita: A Southern Chef's Love Affair with Italian Food," by Frank Stitt.

Those are in addition to these books, which we already named for the contest: "A Year in Chocolate: 80 recipes for Holidays and Special Occasions," by Jacques Torres; "Seven Fires: Grilling the Argentine Way" by Francis Mallman; and "Jamie at Home: Cook Your Way to the Good Life," by Jamie Oliver.

E-mail Andrea Weigl, food writer, at andrea.weigl@newsobserver.com. Put "Name That Blog" in the subject line.
