Durham police seek hotel robbers

DURHAM -- Investigators are looking for three men believed to be involved in a Monday afternoon robbery and shooting.

Two men entered the Comfort Inn at 3508 Mount Moriah Road about 5:40 p.m. and robbed the business at gunpoint. police said. A male employee was shot in the hip during the robbery. His injuries appear to be non-life threatening. The men fled in a white Nissan Maxima.

The person who police believe fired the shot is described as a black male, 20-25 years old, 6 feet 1 inch to 6 feet three inches tall and weighing between 150 and 160 pounds. He has a medium brown complexion and had either flat braids or cornrows. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, black jean shorts, white socks and new white Reebok shoes.

The second suspect is described as a black male, 20 to 30 years old, 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 11 inches tall with a stocky build. He had a light brown complexion and acne on his face. He was wearing a white T-shirt, black pants, black sneakers and a brown doo rag on his head.

Police could not give a detailed description of the third person who waited in the Maxima.
