77-year-old man reported missing

— Wake County law officials are searching for an elderly man who was reported missing by his family Thursday.

Henry Dowell Liles, 77, was last seen on Old Stage Road in Raleigh. According to a Silver Alert issued Thursday evening, he could have been traveling to Garner Family Practice at 801 Poole Road, Garner. A family member said Liles left home but never arrived at the medical office where he had an appointment about 11 a.m.

Liles is thought to be suffering from dementia or some other cognitive impairment, according to the Silver Alert news release.

He was last seen wearing a light blue T-shirt with navy blue shorts, white socks and black tennis shoes. Liles is about 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighs 200 pounds. He was last seen driving a 1991 burgundy Chevrolet S10 pickup truck with a silver camper on the back.

The North Carolina license plate on the truck is XVA-5300.

Anyone with information about Liles' whereabouts should call Deputy Ronnie Carroll at the Wake County Sheriff's Office, 856-6911.
