Burglary suspect arrested in Durham

— Durham police and sheriff's officers arrested Calvin Lamont Snipes, 19, Friday afternoon. Snipes is suspected in a burglary and armed robbery that occurred earlier in the day on Duke Homestead Road.

Police spokesman James P. Carnevale said Snipes was found in northern Durham County.

Saturday, Snipes remained in the Durham County Detention Center under a $2,000 secured bond. He is charged with possession of a stolen motor vehicle and assault by pointing a gun, among other charges.
