CHAPEL HILL -- Police broke up an underage drinking party Saturday night and charged four Tar Heel athletes.

Senior swimmer Hank Browning, 22, was charged with providing a malt beverage to a minor. Senior women's swim captain Alison Clemens, 20, junior freestyle swimmer Rebecca Kane, 20, and redshirt soccer freshman Pammy Boneparth, 19, were all charged with underage possession of alcohol, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

Officer Mike McKinney had responded to a complaint of loud talking outside Browning's home at 703 N. Columbia St. about 10:30 p.m. Saturday. The citations took place after midnight.
