Get a sneak peek of the State Fair on Thursday

The official opening of the State Fair is Friday, but a preview day is planned for Thursday.

Admission for preview day is $5.00 for adults, $1 for children ages 6-12, and free for children 5 and under and adults 65 years and older.

The gates will open from 3 p.m. to midnight and the midway will be open from 3:30 p.m. to midnight.

Fireworks will begin at 9:45, weather permitting.

Check for fair stories throughout the event, which runs through Oct. 25.
