Marian Gaborik scored two goals and added an assist as the New York Rangers broke out of their slump with a 5-2 victory over the visiting Phoenix Coyotes on Monday night.
The Rangers netted two goals on five shots in the first period and two more on only six more attempts in the second to chase goalie Ilya Bryzgalov and end a three-game losing streak.

Coyotes' sale offered: Phoenix Coyotes owner Jerry Moyes has agreed to sell the bankrupt franchise to the NHL. The agreement, which still must be approved by Judge Redfield T. Baum, was announced in U.S. Bankruptcy Court on Monday after attorneys met for more than an hour during a recess in a status hearing on the case.
Injury update: New Jersey Devils defenseman Paul Martin (broken left arm) and left wing Jay Pandolfo (shoulder) will be out four to six weeks after being injured Saturday against Pittsburgh.
Atlanta Thrashers star Ilya Kovalchuk is expected to miss three to five weeks with a broken bone in his right foot.
