Police have arrested a man they say stabbed a student in the thigh at UNC-Chapel Hill's Big Fraternity Court Halloween night.
Stephen James Howard, no address given, was charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, according to a release. He has been placed under a $20,000 secured bond and taken to the Orange County Jail.
Around 1:20 a.m. Sunday, officers responded to a stabbing call at 106 Big Fraternity Court. The victim had been stabbed by a suspect who fled the area. The victim was taken to UNC Hospitals, where he was treated and released.
