N.C. State wide receiver and kick returner T.J. Graham is out for the season with a stress fracture in a leg, the school announced Thursday evening in its injury report.
Graham also missed last week's loss at Florida State, but it wasn't determined until this week that he would not play the rest of the season. He was injured Oct. 17 at Boston College.
Middle linebacker and leading tackler Ray Michel, who also did not play at Florida State, might return for Saturday's 1 p.m. game against Maryland at Carter-Finley Stadium. He is listed as questionable with an ankle injury.
All-CIAA honors: Shaw cornerback Quintez Smith has been chosen the CIAA's defensive player of the year.
Smith and four other Bears made the All-CIAA first team, and four more were chosen to the second team in the list released Thursday.
St. Augustine's placed one player on the first team and two more on the second team,
The Falcons and the Bears each had one player chosen to the all-rookie squad. St. Aug's quarterback Joaquin Green is the offensive rookie of the year.

USA South tournament: No. 1 seed Meredith will play No. 5 Methodist at noon today in the semifinals at Martinsville, Va.

Duke 99, Wingate 31: Jasmine Thomas had 17 points, seven steals and five assists as the Blue Devils defeated visiting Wingate in an exhibition.
Field hockey
ACC Championship: Wake Forest senior forward Kim Romansky and senior midfielder/forward Raisa Schiller each scored a goal and made an assist as the Demon Deacons (12-5) took a 4-3 victory over Boston College (13-6) in the first game of the tournament in Charlottesville, Va.
In the second game, sophomore midfielder Paige Selenski scored two goals to lift third-seeded Virginia (17-2) to a 3-1 victory over sixth-seeded Duke (9-10).
In today's semifinals, the fourth-seeded Deacons will play top-seeded Maryland at 4 p.m. , and the Cavaliers will take on second-seed North Carolina at 6:30. Winners advance to the title game at 1 p.m. Sunday.
Men's tennis
ITA National Indoor Championships: Duke's Reid Carleton and Henrique Cunha extended their momentum from a regional title with a victory in the first round at West Haven, Conn.
The Blue Devils duo (15-2) extended their winning streak to nine straight with an 8-4 win over Mike Bennett and Alberto Gonzalez of Auburn-Montgomery. In the quarterfinals today, they will play No. 3 Robert Farah and Steven Johnson of Southern California.
