A train traveling though Morrisville struck a vehicle at about 2:30 p.m., killing the driver.
Police said the SUV's driver, a 53-year-old man, was the only person killed. He was driving on Barbee Road when his vehicle was struck by a westbound freight train.
No one else was injured, police said.
The accident remains under investigation, police said. The man's name is being withheld pending notification of the family.
