GlaxoSmithKline won approval from U.S. regulators to sell its vaccine to fight H1N1, making it the last major drug manufacturer to receive clearance in this country.
The British company, which has its North American headquarters in Research Triangle Park, said the U.S. Health Department ordered 7.6million doses of the swine flu shot.
GSK will make the vaccine in Quebec and expects to ship doses in December. The FDA approved vaccines from four manufacturers in September.
