OBSERVATIONS
One of the most impressive players for UNC (2-0) thus far has been reserve forward Tyler Zeller (12 ppg, 5 rpg), one of just three Tar Heels averaging double figures. On a team chock full of tall players, he could have been a forgotten guy. Instead, the 7-foot sophomore is making himself an important factor.
Valparaiso (0-1) lost its season-opener to Ball State. Guard Brandon Wood scored 25 points in that game.
