Logan West Rains has earned the highest achievement in Boy Scouting, Eagle Scout.

Logan, a senior at Princeton High School, designed and constructed a lighted flag display area at Princeton Community Park, where the U.S. and North Carolina flags will be flown. U.S. Rep. Bob Etheridge presented a U.S. flag that had been flown over the Capitol in Washington to Logan during his Eagle Scout ceremony.

Logan is the son of Donald and Vicky Rains of Princeton.

Tyler Parker earns Eagle rank

Tyler Mitchell Parker of Raleigh has attained the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest achievement in Boy Scouts.

For his Eagle project, Tyler led a group of Scouts, family members and deacons from First Congregational Church who built and stained picnic tables for the soccer/baseball field at the SalvationArmy Boys and Girls Club in Raleigh. The group also painted a storage shed.

Tyler, the son of Elaine Mitchell and Michael Parker, is a member of Troop 100 at Edenton Street United Methodist Church.

He is a member of Occoneechee Lodge 104 Order of the Arrow, the Boy Scout honor society, and of Occoneechee Council Wood Badge Youth Faculty, SR-976.
