Four people have jumped over the Beltline bridge wall at Crabtree Creek. Two have died, one was injured and one was lucky enough to realize there was no ground under him and crawl back up. The holidays are here and many people not familiar with this highway will be unknowingly exposed to this hazard.

According to a Dec. 4 article, the state DOT plans to have a contractor hired by Feb. 1! What are they thinking? At least get a roll of chicken wire and somehow attach it to the bridge before someone else dies.
