RALEIGH -- Police are searching for the person responsible for shooting a 24-year-old man multiple times last night in Southeast Raleigh.
The victim, Maurice Antonio Moore, is being treated at WakeMed in Raleigh for serious injuries, Jim Sughrue, a Raleigh police spokesman, said this morning.
The shooting occurred outdoors, in the 600 block of Hay Street, near East Lenoir Street at about 8:45 a.m., Sughrue said.
Police are asking anyone with information about the shooting to call the Raleigh Police Department at (919) 996-3555, or CrimeStoppers at (919) 834-HELP.
