Rescue training in Raleigh

Eric Donaldson, top, and Randall Schmidt, both members of the Raleigh Fire Department's Urban Search and Rescue Team, train for rescues Monday at the Wachovia building in downtown Raleigh.

They started on the 30th floor. Several members of the team completed the annual training, which prepares them for emergency rescues on downtown high-rises.

Members of the team rescued a construction worker in 2007 who was injured after falling down an elevator shaft at the RBC Plaza.
