Tiger Woods is more than just an athlete; he is a professional athlete. As a professional you are held to ethical standards. It's not just about how you conduct yourself in the workplace (i.e., the golf course); it's about integrity. Doing the right things when others aren't looking.

There have been times when Tiger dropped the F-bomb on the golf course for all to hear. His behavior has been more akin to an amateur, not a professional. There are so many words to describe Tiger that I could probably wear the cover right off my old Webster's dictionary. But "Athlete of the decade" - not sure I can agree with the AP on that one.

I can't tell you how many times I have heard my children's coaches tell them, "Your behavior off the field is just as important as your behavior on the field." Now my children can read the sports page and see that all the things their parents and coaches have been trying to teach them don't matter.
