Another defensive challenge

The last time Duke faced an old-fashioned, methodical offense on the road outside the ACC, Wisconsin coach Bo Ryan and a scheme called "the swing" frustrated the Blue Devils in a 73-69 defeat.

The No. 8 Blue Devils (17-3) have a chance today to prove they have evolved defensively. No. 7 Georgetown (15-4) will challenge them with coach John Thompson III's version of the Princeton offense. The Hoyas probably have better players than Wisconsin, led by former McDonald's All-Americans Greg Monroe in the post and Chris Wright at point guard.

Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski also worried publicly that Georgetown will be more rested because it last played Monday in a loss at Syracuse. The Blue Devils played Wednesday, defeating Florida State, and had to travel to play this game.
