Georgia Tech women cruise past Clemson

Brigitte Ardossi had 17 points and 13 rebounds, and No. 21 Georgia Tech reached 20 wins for the fourth straight year with a 68-53 victory over host Clemson on Monday night.

The Yellow Jackets (20-5, 6-3 ACC) had only two 20-win seasons in their history before MaChelle Joseph became coach before the 2003-04 season.

Clemson (11-14, 2-7) lost its 44th straight against ranked opponents, a streak that dates to November 2003.

Virginia 82, Maryland 68: Monica Wright scored 34 points as Virginia (17-6, 6-3 ACC) topped host Maryland (16-8, 3-6).

No. 5 Tennessee 69, Vanderbilt 60: Kelley Cain scored a career-high 19 points as Tennessee (21-2, 9-1 SEC) rallied past host Vanderbilt (17-7, 6-5).

Shaw 68, Livingstone 50: Host Shaw (14-7, 9-6 CIAA) used a 19-1 scoring run early in the second half to power past Livingstone (8-13, 4-11).

Tanisha McGaughey led Shaw with 20 points.

St. Augustine's 51, Johnson C. Smith 48: Eliezer Iceson scored five of her seven points in the final 18 seconds to lift the visiting Falcons (13-9, 9-6 CIAA) over JCSU (16-7, 9-7).

LeKeisha White led St. Aug's with 17 points.
