My wife was a recent hapless victim of Raleigh's "parking enforcement for profit" revenue scheme. I know her to be an excellent driver, one who would never park her vehicle in such a way as to endanger public safety or impede the flow of traffic. The writer of the Jan. 30 letter "Reasonable rule" opines that parking regulations should be strictly enforced because "the law is the law." With regard to this latest cash grab by the City of Raleigh, it is clear to me that "the law is an ass." Thank you, Mr. Bumble.
