RALEIGH — A North Raleigh man has been charged with murder after police say he shot another man shortly after 11 p.m. Monday.
Michael Alexander Jones, 29, was taken to the Wake County jail. Jones is accused of shooting George Devon White, 23, who was taken to WakeMed and later died, according to Raleigh police.
The shooting took place at Jones' home at 6900 Glendower Road, off Lynn Road. Police say they found Jones a short time later at a shopping center on Grove Barton Road and arrested him without trouble.
Police provided no details about what led to the shooting, but they say it was not a random act, suggesting Jones and White knew each other.
