Meredith College finishes its weeklong bicentenary celebration of Chopin's birth with two concerts in Carswell Concert Hall. Tonight at 8, Juilliard-trained local pianist Richard Reid performs a selection of the composer's scherzos, ballads, etudes and waltzes. On Saturday, a free concert at 7 p.m. will feature performances by Meredith's School of Music students of pianos works and songs by Chopin and Pauline Viardot. 760-2489; www.meredith.edu/music.
