DURHAM -- When police responded to a call of a disturbance involving a weapon shortly before 9 p.m. tonight, they found a vehicle crashed into a tree and the driver suffering from gunshot wounds.
The driver of the vehicle had been shot several times and was taken to Duke University Hospital for treatment. His name is not being released at this time. The vehicle crash happened on Holloway Street near Guthrie. Holloway Street is currently closed between Guthrie Avenue and Lathrop Street while officers investigate the shooting.
