2009 TAX LIENS
REAL ESTATE NOT PREVIOUSLY ADVERTISED
ADVERTISEMENT OF TAX LIENS ON REAL PROPERTY
Under and by virtue of the authority vested in me by Section 105-369 of the North Carolina General Statutes and pursuant to an order of the Wake County Board of Commissioners, I am hereby advertising tax liens for the year 2009 upon real estate described below. Tax liens for prior years, which were not previously advertised, are displayed under a separate header at the end of the publication. The amount advertised will be increased by interest and cost, and the omission of interest and cost from the amount advertised will not constitute a waiver of the taxing unit's claim for those items. The real estate subject to the lien, the name(s) of the taxpayer(s) and the principal amount of taxes are set out below. If the taxes remain unpaid after this advertisement is completed, the lien may be foreclosed by the taxing unit and the property sold to satisfy the taxing unit's claim for taxes.
The list includes all uncollected 2009 municipal taxes for the following municipalities located in Wake County: Angier, Apex, Cary, Clayton, Fuquay Varina, Garner, Holly Springs, Knightdale, Morrisville, Raleigh, Rolesville, Wake Forest, Wendell and Zebulon. Wake County's contract with each municipality provides for the billing and collection of these taxes.
This list reflects accounts unpaid as of the close of business on February 19, 2010. The asterisk (*) appearing in front of the names on the list indicate that there are other liens outstanding for taxes due for the prior years, either in the name(s) listed or in the name(s) of the prior owner(s).
THIS ADVERTISEMENT COST THE TAXPAYERS OF WAKE COUNTY $45,001.50
This is the 12th day of March 2010.
