Dwyane Wade had 14 points on a poor shooting night but made up for it with nine assists and five blocks to help Miami move a half-game ahead of Charlotte.

Suns 110, Jazz 100: Amare Stoudemire scored the first 11 points for Phoenix en route to a season-high 44, and the host Suns led all the way in a victory over Utah that pulled them within a game of the Jazz for fourth place in the West.
Robin Lopez added 19 points and 10 rebounds, and Steve Nash 15 points and 10 assists. Carlos Boozer had 23 points and 16 rebounds for Utah.
Lakers 104, Timberwolves 96: Kobe Bryant had 22 points and a season-high 13 assists, leading host Los Angeles to its sixth straight victory.
Lamar Odom scored 11 of his 18 points in the fourth quarter, and Pau Gasol added 17 points and 14 rebounds for the Lakers. Andrew Bynum scored 11 points before straining his left Achilles tendon and leaving the game early in the third quarter.
Celtics 94, Rockets 87: Paul Pierce scored 26 points, Ray Allen hit five 3-pointers and had 19 points, and visiting Boston snapped Houston's winning streak at four games.

Denver Nuggets coach George Karl skipped Saturday's game against the Milwaukee Bucks as he continues cancer treatment. This is the seventh game Karl has missed since announcing a month ago he had been diagnosed with throat cancer.
West ejected: New Orleans Jazz forward David West was ejected late in the first quarter for a flagrant foul on Utah's Kyle Korver on Saturday night.
Korver was driving for a layup when West caught him from behind and his forearm caught Korver hard across the head with 1:50 left in the quarter.
Korver got up and was asking for the flagrant call right away. Referee Joe Crawford took a few moments, then signaled for West to head to the locker room as Jazz fans cheered the call.
O'Neal sits out: Miami Heat center Jermaine O'Neal missed Saturday night's game against the Charlotte Bobcats because of a sprained left ankle.
