Your March 23 article says that the "vast majority" will see no difference in their health insurance despite the passage of reform.
I am a member of that majority, but I see many ways that I benefit. As I approach 65, I can take comfort that the "doughnut hole" in Medicare will be closed. As the father of a self-employed professional musician, I can be assured that he can get health insurance. I can keep my other son, now a college senior, on my health insurance plan when he graduates. As the head of a nonprofit organization, I will not have to worry about facing a sudden 40 percent increase in insurance costs, as I did this year. And in the future, I can be confident that my insurance company will not impose a lifetime cap on benefits.
Those who "like the insurance they have" would do well to take an honest look at the insurance they would have had in the future without reform, and compare it to what they will now have.
