From Staff Reports

A Raleigh man was arrested Wednesday after authorities said he lied when applying for a home mortgage, Wake County court documents show.

Antonious M. Iskander, 26, of 3216 Blue Ridge Road, was charged with two counts of obtaining property under false pretenses, the documents said.

Iskander is in the Wake County Jail on $1 million bond.

According to court documents, Iskander obtained a mortgage for $204,797 on a house at 3128 Skycrest Drive in Raleigh in January 2009 through Numerica. The mortage was later taken over by Bank of America, records said.

Court records said Iskander lied about his income and employment and his intent to use the home as his primary residence.
