Hazel Walker Williams

Mrs. Hazel Walker Williams, 85, died peacefully at Levine & Dickson Hospice House on Monday, April 19, 2010. She was born in Warren County, NC to the late Walter Jackson Walker and Lucy Young Walker. She is also preceded in death by her sister, Helen W. Gray, her husbands, Nathaniel Lewis "Red" Williams and Theodore Adam Seaman.

Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 23, 2010 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church with Rev. Hubert Riethmeier officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends from 12 until 2:00 p.m. at the church.

Survivors include: her son, T. Michael Seaman and daughter-in-law, Mary Anne Seaman of Charlotte; grandchildren, Matthew Ireland Seaman and Ashley Renee Seaman, both of Charlotte; her sister, Edith Lemon of Glen Allen, VA; brother, Bernard Walker (wife) Barbara of Warrenton; brother-in-law, Edison Williams of Dunkirk, MD; sisters-in-law, Elizabeth W. Harris of Lexington, VA, Lib Williams of Graham, Dot Williams of Burlington, Frances Williams of Norfolk, VA and Phyllis Seaman of Raleigh; nieces and nephews and their families.

Hazel was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Ridgeway, NC. and graduated from Macon High School. She worked for Centura Bank for many years until retirement. She and Red were instrumental in bringing Warren Hills Nursing Home to Warren County. She was a devoted wife, wonderful mother, grandmother and cook. Family and friends were of utmost importance to her and she found great pleasure in sharing time with them. She will be missed by many.
