N.C. State was in fourth place, 12 shots behind leader Virginia, going into today's final round of the Cavalier Classic golf tournament at Charlottesville, Va.
The Wolfpack, playing with four golfers, shot a 15-over 303 on Saturday. Senior Adam Hogue had to withdraw because of illness.
Junior Matt Hill and senior Brad Revell led the Wolfpack with 2-over 74s. Freshman Mitchell Sutton shot a 76, and sophomore Mark McMillen had a 79.
Host Virginia shot a 3-over 291 on Saturday. Seton Hall was second at 297, followed by Liberty at 298.

East Carolina 4-1, Southern Mississippi 0-0: At Greenville, two shutouts and a clutch hit by sophomore Suzanne Riggs highlighted the Conference USA-leading Pirates (32-16, 11-5) to a two-game sweep of the Golden Eagles (22-23, 6-13).
Riggs singled to drive in the winning run in the bottom of the seventh for a 1-0 victory in the second game. Junior Toni Paisley (23-9) and sophomore Faith Sutton (10-7) gave up just four hits in the two games.
Paisley's 78th career victory moving her into sole possession of fourth on the all-time C-USA list.
Georgia Tech 11-9, N.C. State 4-2: Redshirt senior Jen Yee reached base in all 10 of her plate appearances the Yellow Jackets (45-9, 18-2 ACC) swept N.C. State (28-25, 9-11) at Dail Stadium.
BASKETBALL
Cal dismisses player: California starting forward Omondi Amoke has been dismissed from the team by coach Mike Montgomery for violating team rules. The 6-foot-7 sophomore had been suspended indefinitely since March 17, before the eighth-seeded Golden Bears beat Louisville in the first round of the NCAA tournament.
Club teams in action: Fifty-six teams from 33 universities and colleges in 14 states as far away as Texas and Illinois wrap up a busy weekend of play today in the American Collegiate Intramural Sports National Basketball Championships. N.C. State University Campus Recreation is hosting the event for the third consecutive year.
Reynolds Coliseum will host semifinals and championships today. The men's club semifinalists, including N.C. State, play at 8:30 a.m., and the championship takes place today at 11 a.m. The women's semifinals are at 9:45 a.m., followed by the title game at 12:30 p.m. The men's intramural division plays at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.
