RALEIGH -- A 36-year-old Raleigh woman was arrested Tuesday and charged with having sex with a 14-year-old.
Shameka Bennett, 1911-107 Orchard Hollow Lane, faces two charges of statutory rape and one charge of indecent liberties with a child. She also faces two charges of providing alcohol to the 14-year-old. According to court documents, the alleged crimes occurred in the summer of 2009.
Bennett was booked into the Wake County Jail on $1.5 million bond.
