RALEIGH -- N.C. State has been chosen for the NCAA baseball tournament and will play in the Myrtle Beach regional.
The Wolfpack, seeded third, opens play Friday in Myrtle Beach, S.C., against the College of Charleston (42-17). Also in the regional are Coastal Carolina and Stony Brook.
The Pack lost 8-3 to Florida State on Sunday in the ACC Tournament title game and was an at-large pick into the NCAA field.

N.C. State needed some ninth-inning dramatics to win its opener over Miami 3-2 in the ACC Championship in Greensboro. 
The Wolfpack hasn't won an ACC baseball championship since 1992. Two years ago the Pack reached the title game against Florida State, only to fall short. “It makes you want to go back and get in that championship game and win it,” says Andrew Ciencin, a team captain. 
N.C. State pitcher Carlos Rodon keeps winning. The freshman from Holly Springs won nine games during the regular season and two ACC awards on Monday. 
In search of “a good fit” and more playing time, N.C. State’s Ryan Mathews is at his fourth college since leaving Boone High School (Orlando, Fla.) in 2007.
