JOHNSTON COUNTY -- More sheriff's deputies will be on hand for West Johnston High School's graduation Friday because of threatening fliers placed at the school and in the Cleveland community.

About a week and a half ago, school officials found a copy of the flier at the school, said Chris Otto, a lieutenant with the Major Crimes Division of the Johnston County Sheriff's Office.

Otto said the piece of paper had a picture of a devil's face with the words "Teal and white shall fall with red" and "on the 11th of June forever dead."

It also had the phrases "WJHS bitch" and "060606 p.m.," Otto said.

The letters of the words were obviously cut out and photocopied onto the paper, Otto said. "This is done by someone who took the time," he said.

Teal is a school color at West Johnston High.

Otto said a few fliers were also discovered on the doors of businesses in the Cleveland community. Anyone with information is asked to call the Johnston County Sheriff's Office at 919-989-5000.
