Baked tofu stars in Lilly's salad

STAFF WRITERJune 16, 2010

I am addicted to the tofu salad at Lilly's Pizza. My big question is how do they prepare the tofu? I have always had a hard time cooking tofu at home, and the way they do it is the best I've ever had! Would they let us in on the secret? - L.S., Raleigh

Its namesake gourmet pies have been the main draw at Lilly's Pizza (1813 Glenwood Ave.; 833-0226; www.lillyspizza.com) for nearly two decades, but the Five Points pizzeria is by no means a one-trick pony. Owner Jon Garrison demonstrates the point by sharing his restaurant's recipe for Lilly's tofu salad.
