So much for the new Wake County school board not acting like the old Wake County school board. We have two kids in Leesville Middle School who were eligible to grandfather in and the board has now denied our two younger kids seats in Leesville Elementary, the school we were already in, and switched them to a year-round school on Track 2. So, we are supposed to just deal with a school transfer that has greatly upset our two younger ones and never take a family vacation for the next six to eight years because we have kids on completely different schedules.

This is not what the board promised. They promised "same campus, same calendar."

Cherie Phillips,

Raleigh
